English-born David Beckham has early beginnings in football, going professional at only 17 when he signed up with Manchester United in 1992. Since then, he had proven himself a valuable player in whatever team he was playing for. When he started playing for Real Madrid, he chose the number 23 because of his admiration for basketball legend, Michael Jordan. He continued using the number 23 through his transfer to Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007. Becks, meanwhile, is being thought of as a legend himself. In 2003, Queen Elizabeth II declared him an officer in the Order of the British Empire. Then, the following year, he became known as the highest-paid footballer. He also has many sports-related awards to his name. People are even interested in his marriage to former Spice Girl, Victoria “Posh Spice” Adams.
Though mainly a sports celeb, Becks finds himself in movies, but not just through cameo appearances. He personally made an appearance in Goal 2: Living the Dream. The 2002 British film Bend it Like Beckham refers to his proven mastery of “free kicks”. His free kicks enabled him to join an elite group of footballers who can score twice through direct free kicks.
This celeb poster captures a focused David Beckham who is about to kick a soccer ball. He is dressed in an LA Galaxy uniform, so it is clear from which period the photo has been taken from. This is a good representation of Beckham as he is posed to make his signature kick. His favorite number 23 is also clearly seen in white against a dark blue background. His background is blurred to focus solely on Beckham and the ball. The poster is available in three sizes: 8 x 10 inches, 16 x 20 inches, and 20 x 24 inches. Ready-made frames can be bought together with the poster, in whatever size has been chosen. This is a must-have for Beckham fans, though it is also recommended to anyone who can appreciate football.
